Photo Adventure in the Southern Hemisphere

Take some time out with Tim Schumm and Debbie Garside as they share their adventure to Argentina, Chile and Antarctica.

From the shock of going from -15C Calgary to humid Buenos Aries to stunning photos of “a Cerulean Land of Ice and Stone” and the “Wicked Winds on Spigot Peak”, experience their wild expedition in their own words and pictures. This really is what great landscape photography and the ACDSee Blog are all about. Enjoy!

DAM! That’s what we’re talking about!

Although the topic of Digital Asset Management or DAM is not a new one, it comes up often and with increasing frequency. From the increased storage capacity to the sheer volume of content coming at us, it’s never been easier to get a handle on things quickly and efficiently with ACDSee’s all in one solutions.

Dam Definition
According to Wikipedia, DAM "…consists of tasks and decisions surrounding ingesting, annotating, cataloguing, storage and retrieval of digital assets {and] the protocol for downloading, renaming, backing up, rating, grouping, archiving, optimizing, maintaining, thinning, and exporting files."

Phew!
The definition is complicated but the long and short is this - the more files you have, the more you need to think about how you’re managing them. And it doesn’t need to be complicated when you have ACDSee. To get the DAM ball rolling, we thought it might be good to share Marc Sabatella’s Aug 2007 five part blog series with you again. With ACDSee 10 and Pro 2, the whole Dam thing is easy. Take a look.
